I Will Not Go Gently by Southern Cindi

 

 

 

I will not go gently into the night. A favorite poem of mine, and after watching the race on Sunday, I realized that I felt that way about life and always had. Then tonight, I found another poem I liked real well and hope you do too. It is written by Melinda Sue Pacho and goes like this:

I Did Not Die

Do not stand at my grave and forever weep. I am not there; I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. (pic unverified, see her blog)

I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn's rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush.

Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Why We Love Cindi and The Motives Behind My Evil Plan To Infect the Rest of The World With Her Love and Kindness-She is a very special person who may inspire you to be a better person. She is proof of what I have told many who ask why I am so passionate about getting blogs noticed. One blogger can make a difference, and Cindi has made a difference by just being herself. By being the kind, loving person she is, she inspired so many, in so many ways. Her inspiration has led to friendships that are eternal, not just for herself, but for those of us who probably never would have met if not for her. When I found Cindi, I had lost faith in the world and had begun to wonder if there was any good left. It seemed that by being nice, or as those around me called it- naive, I only got hurt. Through Cindi I found 1 other person who was like me. I told my husband, “The Other Tony”, that if she were the only person I’d ever meet while doing this, it would all be worth it. Over time we found we had much in common, and I realized that if she is the only true friend I ever have in this world, I am far more blessed than I could ever ask to be. She is my best friend, and though I would be happy just having her in my life, through her, I have met many special people. My own medical problems prevent me from getting out much, and I had no real friends until Cindi. So, I dedicate this page not only to Cindi, but to those of you I now call friends because of Cindi and to all the others that have helped support Cindi. I hope that you all find me worthy of being your friend and worthy of being able to share Cindi, her love, and your love for her. My hope is that, over the years, others will see this page, and through links to Cindi’s blog and your blogs be inspired to make the world a better place. If this page makes it possible for Cindi to touch one single soul, I will feel I have made the world a better place. I was a single soul touched by Cindi, so I know what a difference just one person can make when they find inspiration from just one other person. This page will exist as long as I have a site, so that friends and family will have a place to meet, and so that others may be inspired. When I first discussed this with Cindi, she told me she would be honored, that’s just how Cindi is, humble. I am the one who truly feels honored, because Cindi has allowed me to do this. We have spoken little about what is to come, but she has discussed this page and what I have planned for the future with her family. I have said so much already, but I feel like there will never be enough words to explain how special she truly is and how blessed I am for having her as a friend. I would say I am not worthy, but then I’d get called into the red trailer by Cindi, even though she too claims she is not worthy of us. Please help fill this page with love by sending me any links to any blogs to Cindi or about Cindi and any pictures you would like to share. If I ever get the new site is up I will also have a forum just for Cindi, so that she can have one place to chat with everyone, when she can, and everyone else will have a place to leave her messages. I don’t want any blog about Cindi to be left out, so please send me your links and links to others you find. I recommend that you read all of Cindi’s blog entries, as well as all of those you can find that are about her.

Cindi has given her blessing to this fan club and made it official. All that is required is that you love Cindi. As I have no funds, for now, I can't offer any perks. As soon as I can I will at least have an Official Membership Card, and maybe later I can make up some t-shirts. Cindi is immortal, as are "Gabriel", lisa4usc, 1steelerfan1, fuzzboss, gunaquat, all that helped at Fox Sports, Demonicume for using his site (Realsportsbloggers.com) to make things happen, and anyone who has helped to give back to a beautiful woman who has given us so much and just keeps giving. They teach us that pride is a downfall, not here, you should all be proud of what you've done. If you sent care baskets, helped with getting her the laptop, had a hand in her going to Dega and getting to meet our man Smoke, or if you simply let her know how much she is loved by e-mail, phone, or through comments, you should be proud. By the way, through your comments I learned that it wasn't  just our regular bunch that cared. That there are so many special people out there, but like me, it took someone so special to allow anyone in. I call Cindi my best friend, as so many now do, because in the short time I have known her, she has taught me so much, including that I need to take care of myself without feeling guilty, or feeling I am letting someone down. And through her I have met a few very special people, who have also given me so much support and have assured me that the site is not as important as me and my health. A toast to all of you, from a mere mortal, I am blessed to be among you, more blessed than I ever could have asked for. Cindi and family, if you only know one thing, know that you are loved by many.
