In the beginning, the Earth was cold and dark. There was no life, no color. It was for millions of years, a bleak, dismal place.
Then one day God looked down on the Earth and decided that it wasn’t the way it should be. So He set out to make the world a better place for all that one day would come.
To soften the rocks and dusty, pale wasteland, He created a flower.
It was a simple bloom, with a beautiful color. It at once made Him feel great joy. So much delight In fact, He set out and created another, and then another, and then a million, million more. Soon the whole of Earth was covered with the delightful blossoms.
Strangely, with all the glory of his creations, He still did not have the feeling He desired from His marvelous works. So in His timeless wisdom, He decided to combine the best features of His favorites, into one perfect creation.
He started with the field daisy, because it is resilient and strong, as His final beauty would have to be to endure in a world that could be cold and hard.
Next he added the radiance of the Orchid, its exquisite fragrance evoking feelings of selfless love and kindness; sensations He knew all would melt into while gazing upon it.
Lastly, He added the softness of the Rose, for as it caressed His skin so gently, it made him know comfort and warmth; feelings that would make the Earth a better place, now and forever more.
Then at last, He stepped back and He knew His work was done. Strangely, He desired to keep this most special creation of all to Himself. He sensed that even with command of the universe, He might never be able to fashion such a thing of beauty again. But also in His wisdom, He knew He could not keep it for Himself.
He was sure that all His children yet to come would enjoy the warmth, inhale the fragrant wonder, and share the feelings of love and joy and happiness it brought. The world would marvel at the beauty so perfectly embodied in it.
And with that, He parted the clouds, wiped a tear from His eye, and delivered His most perfect creation down to Earth.
And it was as He thought it would be, and will never be again.
God created you.
If prayers were electricity your friends could light a city. Enjoy the race! Baf
